It is pretty yellow, but it looks sweet from the other side. You might not feel the same way about the yellow once you get the mural up and furniture in the room.

I like the color, but this a picture and might look different in "real life." My bedroom is yellow, what I did was put a really bright mustard yellow, looks a lot like the color in your picture, on the walls as a base. Then I took a really light yellow and a med. yellow and rag-rolled them over the walls. It made the yellow a lot calmer and more relaxing. It kinda looks like wall paper. I don't think it would work on the celling. just a thought
